JAY-Z associate BEANIE SIGEL could face charges of attempted murder after surrendering to police following the shooting of a man outside a WEST PHILADELPHIA club last Tuesday (July 1)
The rapper posted bail and was released from jail on Saturday (July 5). Police had been looking for Sigel since the incident when he was accused of shooting Terrence Speller in the stomach and foot. The MC turned himself in on Thursday (July 3) after performing with Jay-Z in Camden, New Jersey.
According to Philadelphia Police Lt. Michael Chitwood, Sigel – real name Dwight Grant – agreed to surrender upon crossing the bridge into Philadelphia after the concert.
Speller was hospitalised, but police say that he is expected to recover. The incident occurred outside of the PonyTail Bar.
Sigel’s attorney, Fortunato Perri, said his client denies any involvement in the shooting.
