Beastie Boys’ Mike D has between 15 and 20 surfboards stolen from Los Angeles home

Other items were stolen from the rapper's outdoor shed over the weekend

Beastie BoysMike D has reported that between 15 and 20 surfboards have been stolen from his Los Angeles home.

The rapper called the police over the weekend after discovering thousands of dollars worth of surf and skate gear had been stolen from an outdoor shed on his property.

As TMZ reports, three of the surfboards were worth $1,000 each.


Amongst the other items stolen were skateboards and miscellaneous surfing equipment.

The Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department are investigating the theft.

Last month, Mike D started his own Beats 1 radio show. Titled ‘The Echo Chamber’, each episode sees him invite guests such as Cassius and Slaves onto the show to play they music they love.
