Electric Picnic line-up unveiled

The Irish festival pulls in the big names

Beastie Boys, The Stooges, Bjork, Jarvis Cocker, Primal Scream and The Good, The Bad & The Queen are amongst the first acts to be confirmed for this year’s Electric Picnic Festival.

The three-day event will take place at Stradbally Hall, Co Laois in Ireland from August 31 to September 2 and will retain its 32,500 capacity.

Damon Albarn will bring The Good, The Bad & The Queen to Ireland for the first time, while The Stooges‘ appearance is their only UK/Irish appearance this summer barring their Glastonbury slot on June 23.

The festival will have seven music stages as well as comedy and film tents. Lost Vagueness will also return to the festival for the third time.

Tickets go on sale at 9am tomorrow (April 3).
