TIBETAN FREEDOM CONCERT DEFINITELY OFF

Despite UK newspaper advertisements, organisers the Beastie Boys confirm to fans the show is definitely not going ahead...

Organisers of the postponed TIBETAN FREEDOM CONCERT in

LONDON have contacted NME.COM to reassure fans

that the charity concert is definitely NOT taking place this weekend, despite a

preview of the event in a national newspaper today (September 14).

As previously revealed on

NME.COM, the UK leg of the Tibetan Freedom

Concert, scheduled for September 15 at Brockwell Park

in south London, was postponed due to “unexpected scheduling

complications and logistical issues”.

However, despite the cancellation,

today’s The Mirror newspaper (September 14) carried a preview of

the event. As a result, event organiser Adam Yauch and Beastie

Boy rushed to make it clear to fans that the show is not going ahead and

asked fans not to travel to Brockwell Park.

The group were

due to headline, alongside Pulp and Joe

Strummer.
