A ten year old track featuring Beck has surfaced on a flexidisk to be given out free with an American style magazine.
The song, titled ‘American Car’ is recorded by a band called Bean, and features Beck. It is part of a compilation of car and driving songs compiled by Gus Hudson, who also produced some of Beck‘s earlier material.
‘American Car’ will be made available to subscribers to ‘Glue’ magazine, with approximately 3000 more to be sold via newsstands in the LA area.
A UK spokesperson for Beck told nme.com that at present there are no firm plans to release the track in the UK.
The magazine will be available in America from April 25, and subscriptions to Glue can be ordered via their website, www.gluemag.com.
Beck has been confirmed as one of the main stage headliners for the Reading/Leeds Carling Weekend Festivals to be held on August Bank Holiday weekend, August 25-28.
