Beck is to play a solo acoustic show in HOLLYWOOD as part of a benefit concert for the violinist PETRA HADEN.

The show will take place at the Knitting Factory in Los Angeles on November 26, from 3pm until midnight.

Petra Haden is the daughter of jazz bassist Charlie Haden, and made her career as a violinist both as a solo artist and as a session musician with bands including Foo Fighters, Green Day, Luscious Jackson, as well as Beck himself. Amongst others, she played violin on the track ‘Blackhole’ from his ‘Mellow Gold’ album, and also worked on the songs ‘Totally Confused’, ‘Girl Dreams’ and ‘Steve Threw Up’.

In August Haden was hit by a car while crossing the street in Venice, California and as a result fractured her leg, pelvis as well as other serious injuries. The benefit concerts are being organised to help Haden with her medical costs.
