US singer takes on 'All Things Must Pass' album track for US chat show
Beck performed a cover of George Harrison’s 1970 song ‘Wah-Wah’ on US TV last night. Watch it below now.
The performance came as part of a tribute week to the late Beatles member on Conan O’Brien’s Conan ahead of the release of compilation album ‘The Apple Years 1968-75’. Later this week there will be performances of Harrison songs by Paul Simon, Norah Jones, and Harrison’s son, Dhani.
Meanwhile, Brandon Flowers of The Killers, Brian Wilson and members of The Strokes are among the artists who will pay tribute to George Harrison at a special event in Los Angeles this Sunday (September 28).
George Fest: A Night To Honour The Music Of George Harrison will also include members of The Flaming Lips, Weezer, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, ‘Weird Al’ Yankovic and Cold War Kids.
The show will take place at Los Angeles’ El Rey Theatre and will raise money for Sweet Relief – a charity for musicians struggling to make ends meet due to illness or disability. All of the proceeds from the event will benefit the charity.
