Beck teases new music and possible artwork

New single 'Wow' is due to be released tomorrow

Beck has teased new music as well as possible artwork or video stills. His new single ‘Wow’ is set to be officially released tomorrow.

Sharing two snippets, the first sees the artist saying the words “Giddy up” over a hip-hop style beat with the other providing simple slide whistle loop. They are both believed to be from the ‘Wow’ single.

Taking to Instagram, Beck shared the teasers, writing ‘WOW / JUNE 2 @ NOON EDT #beckWOW’. He has also re-skinned his social channels with the possible artwork, including his Facebook and Twitter.

It’s previously been confirmed that Beck will perform at this year’s Glastonbury, which runs at its traditional home of Worthy Farm, Pilton, Somerset from 22-26 June.

Following his Glastonbury set, Beck will play London’s O2 Brixton Academy on June 28 and Manchester’s Albert Hall on June 29. Beck will also play Nile Rodgers’ FOLD Festival in London, which runs from June 24-26.

Describing the upcoming LP as a “hybrid” of garage rock and dance different to ‘Morning Phase’, he also called the album the “opposite” of his sedate 2014 release ‘Morning Phase’. He went on to describe it as “a pretty diverse group of songs that fit together.”
