Beer here now – Liam Gallagher surprises drinkers at Staffordshire pub as he pops in for Sunday lunch

Man of the people.....

Liam Gallagher surprised drinkers at a Staffordshire pub on Sunday as he strolled in to enjoy a roast dinner.

The former Oasis singer visited the Crown Inn in Staffordshire as he travelled back to London on Sunday – the day after his sold out show at the Emirates Old Trafford Cricket Ground.

According to pub patrons, the watering hole was recommended to Liam by a member of his security team who regularly drinks there.

“His bodyguard drinks in here regularly and when Liam said he fancied a home-cooked meal, he suggested coming here”, landlady Jacqui Torgut told the Stoke Sentinel.

Photos posted on social media show as the ‘As You Were’ singer happily posing for photos with fans. It’s believed that he spent two hours there, before continuing his journey back to the capital.

“He ordered a beef dinner and a pint”, Jacqui explained.

“He was absolutely brilliant with everyone in the pub. He posed for lots of photographs and signed a few autographs.”

It’s not the first time that Jacqui’s pub has been brushed by fame – after 5 Seconds of Summer chose to pay a visit last year.

“We had an Australian band called 5 Seconds of Summer come in last year but nobody as famous as Liam”, she said.

“It was an absolute pleasure to welcome him and his family. Everyone was buzzing afterwards.”
