EDINBURGH‘s PLANET POP festival returns for the fifth year with 35 bands and DJs taking part – including a rare DJ set from Belle & Sebastian members CHRIS GEDDES and RICHARD COLBOURN.
The venues for the festival are The Attic, The Venue and Gaia.
It kicks off on August 5 with Evening Session In Scotland DJs Gill Mills and Vic Galloway presenting the opening night party, which has performances from Life Without Buildings, Eska and The Silver Pill.
Bands taking part include Snow Patrol, Astrid, Angelica, Urusei Yatsura, Ben Vaughan, Mojave 3 and Peeps Into Fairyland, who close the festival on August 30, supported by Ballboy and Mechanical Mouse Organ.
