Belle And Sebastian announce singles box-set

‘The Jeepster Singles Collection’ has a host of extras

Belle & Sebastian have announced a box-set of the seven singles from their time of Jeepster Records.

‘The Jeepster Singles Collection’ costs £110 and runs from 1997 debut single ‘Dog On Wheels’ to 2001’s ‘I’m Waking Up To Us’. Issued on heavyweight 180g 12”, the package includes a new extended remix of ‘Judy Is A Dick Slap’, the B-side of ‘Legal Man’. It can be ordered here.

Extras on the box-set include a documentary entitled Up Our Own Arses, an interview with drummer Richard Colburn, a photo print, three replica fanzines made by the band in the 1990s, a 20-page booklet of rare memorabilia and unseen photos, a download card and a DVD featuring the singles’ videos which include the ‘60s Version’ and ‘70s Version’ of ‘Jonathan David’.

The box-set is packaged in a numbered hardcover slipcase, with the first 100 copies signed by the band.

Belle And Sebastian play a two-night residency at London’s Royal Albert Hall from tonight (June 22), with support from Teleman tonight and Trembling Bells tomorrow. They also headline On Blackheath festival on September 11 on a day also featuring James, Squeeze, Saint Etienne, Edwyn Collins, The Parrots and Soak.

Now signed to Rough Trade, Belle And Sebastian’s most recent album was 2015’s ‘Girls In Peacetime Want To Dance’.
