Band released new album 'Girls In Peacetime Want To Dance' this week
Belle And Sebastian have performed their new single ‘Nobody’s Empire’ on Conan after releasing album ‘Girls In Peacetime Want To Dance’ earlier this week (January 19).
Frontman Stuart Murdoch used musical notation as he sat behind a keyboard to perform the song. You can watch the full video below.
‘Girls In Peacetime Want To Dance’ is Belle And Sebastian’s ninth studio album and the follow-up to 2010’s ‘Write About Love’. It was produced by Ben H Allen III (Animal Collective, Gnarls Barkley) and is available on CD, two-LP and four-disc box-set with bonus tracks, extended mixes and more.
Belle And Sebastian will support the release of the album with a tour starting in Cardiff on May 3, 2015. The band will then perform in Bristol, Portsmouth, Cambridge, Norwich, Birmingham, London, Manchester, Newcastle, Buxton and Leeds before a homecoming show at Glasgow’s SSE Hydro on May 22. The tour will see the band perform 12 dates in total, plus a headline set at Liverpool Sound City. The Scottish band are the first confirmed headliners for the event, which will celebrate its eighth birthday this year.
Last year, the Scottish indie-pop icons picked up the Outstanding Contribution To Music award at the 2014 NME Awards.
