BELLE AND SEBASTIAN are to record their new album with TATU producer TREVOR HORN NME.COM can reveal.

The Scots indie outfit go into the studio next week to begin work with the Frankie Goes To Hollywood producer, who was also behind Tatu’s Number One debut ‘All The Things She Said’.

The new album is the band’s fifth studio album proper, not counting last year’s ‘Storytelling’, which was scored for the film of the same name. It will be released in the summer on their new label, Rough Trade.

Horn, who produced Frankie Goes To Hollywood’s Number One singles ‘Relax’, ‘Two Tribes’ and ‘Welcome To The Pleasuredome’, will produce the entire album.

As previously reported on NME.COM, the band are to headline a benefit show for the Concern campaign to raise awareness of the famine in Africa. The show at Glasgow Royal Concert Hall on May 17 will also feature [a][/a]. The event will be hosted by Scots comedian Karen Dunbar, of TV show ‘Chewin’ The Fat’, with other special guests to be announced.

Tickets for the ‘Concern Concert For Africa’, sponsored by the Sunday Herald, are priced £25 and £18.50, and go on sale on today (February 24) from the Glasgow Royal Concert Hall box office, tel: 0141 353 8000.
