Orbital have been confirmed to headline the dance stage at this year’s V99, playing at Weston Park, South Staffordshire (August 21) and Hylands Park, Chelmsford (22). Other acts just confirmed for the festival include Mercury Rev and Super Furry Animals.
Bentley Rhythm Ace, Lo-Fidelity Allstars, Indian Ropeman, Space Invaders, Breakbeat Era and Skinny will be playing the first dance stage at the Reading and Leeds 99 festivals this year. DJs announced so far include Freddie Fresh, Deejay Punk-Roc and Roni Size. More acts will be announced for the two-site festival, which is being held over the August Bank Holiday weekend.
The festivals are headlined by The Charlatans, Blur and Red Hot Chili Peppers and other acts confirmed include The Chemical Brothers, Apollo 440, Fun Lovin’ Criminals, Reef, Echo & The Bunnymen, Elastica, 3 Colours Red, Mansun, The Jon Spencer Blues Explosion, Ultrasound, Idlewild and Symposium.
