Beyoncé attacked by fan at Sao Paulo show

Man in crowd attempts to pull the singer into the crowd

Beyoncé was almost pulled into the audience by a fan at a show in Brazil – click above to watch fan-shot footage of the incident.

The singer was performing at Sao Paulo’s Morumbi Stadium yesterday (September 15). During the part of her show in which she performs ‘Irreplaceable’ from a smaller ‘Bey Stage’ on the arena floor, a shirtless man on the front row grabbed Beyoncé and tried to pull her into the crowd. Security rushed the stage and Beyoncé was able to continue performing.

It’s not the first time Beyoncé has been in a perilous situation on her ongoing Mrs Carter tour. In Montreal in July, she continued singing ‘Halo’ while her hair was caught in the blades of a fan.

Last month, Travis singer Fran Healy criticised Beyoncé for dominating the backstage area at V Festival. “Beyoncé locked down the entire backstage area for an hour. Everyone was affected,” Healy told the Daily Record, recalling his V Festival experience. “You’d ask, ‘Can I just go there?’ and they’d say, ‘No. You can’t cross this little street’.”

“Everyone was just following orders from the gang,” Healy continued. “I guess that’s how Americans do it but it’s not how we do it in the UK. She was headlining the Main Stage and was half an hour late. The whole area was cut off as if there had been a nuclear disaster.”
