Beyonce topping the midweek album charts with ‘4’

Meanwhile Jason Derulo is a non-mover in the single midweeks

Beyonce looks set to take the Number One spot in the Official UK Albums Chart on Sunday.

Following her acclaimed Glastonbury performance, the singer is topping the midweek charts with her latest effort, ‘4’, which is currently selling three times as fast as any other album in the charts.

Beyonce is part of an all-female midweek Top Three, with Adele’s ‘21’ at Number Two and Lady Gaga’s ‘Born This Way’ at Number Three.

A host of acts who played major sets at Glastonbury have seen their albums climb up the charts, with Coldplay’s ‘Parachutes’ and ‘X&Y’ both returning to the Top 40, Mumford and Sons‘Sigh No More’ climbing from 26 to 16 and Noah And The Whale’s ‘Last Night On Earth’ up from 29 to 23.

Meanwhile, in the singles chart midweeks, Jason Derulo is set to hold on to his Number One for a second week, with ‘Don’t Wanna Go Home’ a non-mover.
