Beyonce releases new song ‘God Bless The USA’ for victims of 9/11 attacks – audio

Singer debuts track on Piers Morgan CNN Talk Show

Beyonce has released a new song to help aid victims of the 9/11 terror attacks.

The singer debuted the track ‘God Bless The USA’ on Piers Morgan’s CNN Talk Show in the US last night (May 5). Listen to audio of the song below.

Beyonce and songwriter Lee Greenwood are donating proceeds from the track to the New York Police & Fire Widows & Children’s Benefit Fund, for victims of the attack.

“I cannot think about anything more appropriate to do to help these families,” she said in a statement. “Almost ten years later, it is still so painful for all Americans, especially those who lost loved ones.”

The release comes in the same week Osama Bin Laden, who was held responsible for the attacks, was killed.

Beyonce first performed the Lee Greenwood song back in 2008 during Barack Obama‘s successful presidential campaign.

She is set to headline this year’s Glastonbury festival, as well as performing at T In The Park and Oxegen festivals in the summer.
