Beyoncé duetted with Pearl Jam and Ed Sheeran at Global Citizen Festival – watch

The Destiny's Child star joined the two Eddies for acoustic specials last night

Last night was a busy one for Beyonce, who duetted with both Ed Sheeran and Pearl Jam‘s Eddie Vedder at Global Citizen Festival.

The Destiny’s Child star played a hits set at the all-dayer, which she brought Sheeran on for during ‘Drunk in Love’. The two performed a paired back, acoustic version of the track; both singing as Sheeran played guitar.

Later in the evening Beyoncé joined Pearl Jam’s frontman Eddie Vedder for another acoustic duet, this time for a cover of Bob Marley’s ‘Redemption Song’. The performance also included a clip of a speech given by Nelson Mandela about overcoming poverty, which played above the duo as Vedder continued to play.

Global Citizen Festival is a free, annual, one day concert set up in New York City’s Central Park to promote the charity Global Citizen, which helps fight poverty and inequality.

The festival is curated by Coldplay, who have committed to doing so for the next 15 years. The group also performed there yesterday and Chris Martin was heard running through a new song during soundcheck.

Martin also took to the stage during Sheeran’s set to play piano on a duet of Sheeran’s single ‘Thinking Out Loud’.
