Coming next week
After exciting fans with a teaser image over the weekend, the full trailer is now here for the feature-length film which will tell the story of her acclaimed Coachella comeback show last year.
“This intimate, in-depth look at Beyoncé’s celebrated 2018 Coachella performance reveals the emotional road from creative concept to cultural movement,” a synopsis reads.
Homecoming premieres on Netflix worldwide on April 17.
Meanwhile, Beyoncé reportedly turned down a potential deal with Reebok after attending a pitch meeting where there were no other black people present. According to an ESPN reporter, the star told the brand: “Nobody in this room reflects my background, my skin colour, and where I’m from and what I wanna do.”
The news followed the confirmation of the singer’s new partnership with Adidas, which will see her launch her own “signature sneakers” as well as relaunch her Ivy Park activewear brand.
Last month, Beyoncé and her husband Jay-Z were honoured at the annual GLAAD Media Awards when they were presented with the Vanguard Award for “their LGBTQ allyship”. During their acceptance speech, Jay-Z paid tribute to his mother, Gloria Carter. He had previously documented her coming out on his 2017 track ‘Smile’.
