Beyonce has reportedly issued a cease-and-desist letter to a New York brewery after they created a beer inspired by the singer.
Brooklyn’s Lineup Brewing were inspired to brew the “Bieryonce” after owner Katarina Martinez missed one of Beyonce’s concerts despite having tickets for the show.
But she’s now been forced to put an end to the boozy homage after receiving the legal warning from Beyonce’s management, with production of the drink halting immediately.
“As a Hispanic, female run business, I am very inspired by her so I thought I’d pay homage,” Martinez explained to Pitchfork.
“We’re disappointed she didn’t take it as a compliment, but oh well. It was fun while it lasted!”

The remaining beers, which feature a design inspired by her self-titled 2013 album, are available for in New York until supplies sell out .
Beyonce is yet to directly comment on the cease-and-desist-letter, and it is not known whether she personally ordered it.
Meanwhile, Beyonce last week awarded Sports Illustrated‘s Muhammad Ali Legacy Award to Colin Kaepernick.
Presenting the honour at the sportsperson Of The Year awards in New York City, Beyoncé said: “Colin took action with no fear of consequence or repercussion – only hope to change the world for the better. To change perception, to change the way we treat each other, especially people of colour.”
