Scottish rockers will warm up for their festival slots at one-off show
Biffy Clyro have announced a one-off UK show for next month.
The Scottish trio, who are booked to play high profile slots at Download Festival, RockNess and the Isle Of Wight Festival, will warm up with a gig at Swindon’s Oasis Leisure Centre on June 8.
The Scottish trio recently revealed that their new album, which is a double LP, will consist of two records, one titled ‘The Land At The End Of Our Toes’ and another titled ‘The Sand At The Core Of Our Bones’.
The band have spent the last year working on the album and have recorded it in Los Angeles. It is due for release later this summer and is the follow-up to 2009’s ‘Only Revolutions’.
Speaking to NME about the album, drummer Ben Johnston said: “We don’t want to pigeon hole it as a ‘big rock album’, so we’re trying to make a diverse collection of songs.”
Tickets for the Swidon show will go onsale on Monday (May 14) at 9am (GMT). To check the availability of Biffy Clyro tickets and get all the latest listings, go to NME.COM/TICKETS now, or call 0871 230 1094.
