NOTE IMPERFECT!

A campaign is launched to save the club after it goes into liquidation...

THE 13th NOTE, the semi-legendary GLASGOW music venue which helped launch the careers of local bands such as Delgados, BIS, and URUSEI YATSURA, has launched a campaign to save the club following its provisional liquidation.

The Note, which expanded into two separate premises in 1997, has been at the forefront of the Scottish music scene for many years and has seen the likes of Idlewild, And You Will Know Us By The Trail of Dead, Belle & Sebastian and At The Drive-In play at the larger club venue.

The Help 13 fund aims to raise cash to hopefully re-purchase the business from the liquidator via a series of benefit gigs, and has also announced ‘A Grand Plan’ – aimed at more successful members of Glasgow’s music community with £1000 to spare – which would see them as stakeholders in any reconstituted company.
