BJORK has finally confirmed details of her rare Christmas hometown show in REYKJAVIK.
The singer will make her first full live performance in the Icelandic capital since January 1999 will take place at the city’s Laugardagsholl on December 19. The date follows her appearance at the London Royal Opera House on December 16, and tickets for the 2,400 capacity show go on sale on November 19.
Bjork is also planning a ‘conventional’ tour for 2002.
Speaking at a recent press conference in Spain, the Icelandic singer said she plans to play more shows in summer 2002, in more well known music venues. Bjork has spent the latter part of this year promoting her ‘Vespertine’ album in opera houses and old theatres backed by an orchestra, choir and experimental dance duo Matmos.
