American actor and comedian Joel McHale took to the Lip Sync Battle stage to perform Bjork‘s 1995 hit ‘It’s Oh So Quiet’.
The former Soup host and Community star dressed up in Bjork’s iconic yellow dress and blunt hair cut, performing the song with a range of dancers.
Bjork’s original video was directed by Spike Jonze and featured the artist walking through the streets, dancing with a range of people.
McHale will be battling fellow Community star Jim Rash in this week’s episode, set to air in America on Thursday.
‘It’s Oh So Quiet’ was first released by Betty Hutton in 1951, with Bjork’s cover version making her a household name.
Last month, Björk revealed that she has started work on her next album, the follow-up to last year’s ‘Vulnicura’.
In an interview with comedian Julia Davis for AnOther magazine, the Icelandic musician said that she had already completed three songs.
“I’m writing my next thing,” she said. “I’m still allowing myself to be a submarine; I don’t totally have the view of it yet. It’s funny, each album is different for me. Like, what comes first? With this one it’s maybe the melodies. This is very abstract, but the melodies have a similar kind of shape.”
