Comedy rockers The Darkness continue their assault on the nation’s senses seeing new single ‘I Believe In A Thing Called Love’ enter at three, one ahead of S Club 8 who take ‘Sundown’ in at four.
Travis make an impressive return to the chart, debuting at seven with ‘Re-Offender’.
It’s a busy week on the chart. Outside the top 10, there is a glut of new entries. Deltra Goodrem goes in 13 with ‘Innocent Eyes’, one ahead of Christian rockers Evanescence who go in at 14 with ‘Going Under’. A little further down, retiring rap growler DMX enters at 16 with ‘Where The Hood At’, UD Project Vs Sunclub goes in at 17 with ‘Summer Jam’ and Milk And Sugar with ‘Let The Sun Shine’ go in at 18.
Hope Of The States enter at 25 with ‘Enemies/Friends’ three ahead of Poloroid at 28 with ‘So Damn Beautiful’. There are also new entries for Jurgen Vries, Turin Brakes, Metallica, Clea and Morjac.
On the album chart, Robbie Williams with ‘Live At Knebworth’ enters at two. Former S Club siren Rachel Stevens sees her album ‘Funky Dorey’ enters at a disappointing nine.
