Black Eyed Peas go back to Number One

Plus Michael Jackson is still top of the album chart

Black Eyed Peas have gone back to Number One after spending a week off the top spot in UK’s Official Singles Chart.

The Los Angeles band knocked Tinchy Stryder into second place after ‘I Gotta Feeling’ returned to the summit.

The group have made chart history by achieving the feat twice in one year with two different singles, according to The Official Charts Company.

‘Boom Boom Pow’ went back to Number One in June having first been top of the charts in May.

Meanwhile, Calvin Harris went straight in at Number Three with ‘Ready For The Weekend’ and Peter Andre‘s ‘Behind Closed Doors’ debuted at Number Four, despite looking odds on to go to Number One in the midweek charts.

Little Boots also climbed to Number 10 with her single ‘Remedy’.

In the album chart Michael Jackson‘s compilation ‘The Essential’ stays at Number One for the seventh consecutive week.

The 20th anniversary re-issue of The Stone Roses‘ self-titled debut also went in at Number Five, and The Temper Trap’s debut ‘Conditions’ reached Number 32.
