Regular BRMC tubthumper Nick Jago's "visa issue" mean Pete Salisbury repleces him...

Black Rebel Motorcycle Club have recruited Verve’s former drummer for their dates on the NME CARLING TOUR.

Black Rebel Motorcycle Club drummer Nick Jago is unable to make the trip to the UK because of “visa issues”, which the band say will be sorted out in the next few months. Verve’s Pete Salisbury will now play with the UK dates.

Bassist and vocalist Robert Turner told NME.COM: “This is by far the hardest hurdle we have had to cross in our career. Luckily we have Pete Salisbury to fill in for Nick temporarily. We wouldn’t have done these dates with anyone else.”

Meanwhile, The Soundtrack Of Our Lives have stepped in for a one-off date on the NME Carling Tour at Norwich UEA on February 6. Black Rebel Motorcycle Club have been given the night off after Oasis asked them to be the support band at a benefit gig at London’s Royal Albert Hall.
