Bandmember Robert Turner tells NME.COM the new LP "is all we're thinking about"...

Black Rebel Motorcycle Club plan to start recording their new album this month in LONDON, NME.COM can reveal.

Black Rebel Motorcycle Club are the cover stars of this week’s NME, which is out now in London and tomorrow nationwide (September 11).

Bandmember Robert Turner said that their new record is “all we’re thinking about” at present, and that some of the songs they’ve been playing live in recent months will be recorded.

“It’s not easy to sum up where we’ve got to”, he said. “We’ve played some of the songs live. There’s a song called ‘Stop’, one called ‘US Government’, there’s ‘Shade Of Blue’, ‘We’re All In Love’ and ‘High/Low’. We’ve been playing a lot of jams, like we do at the end of ‘Salvation’ or ‘Spread Your Love’. We continue on and then we’re got something completely different.”

Black Rebel Motorcycle Club are looking at a number of studios in London, including Toe Rag, where White Stripes have been recording the follow-up to ‘White Blood Cells’.
