Osbourne reveals producers of a US reality show fired him 'by email' after they were informed of his condition

Jack Osbourne has revealed that he was fired from a US reality TV show after he told producers he had been diagnosed with multiple sclerosis.

The son of Black Sabbath frontman Ozzy Osbourne was diagnosed after tests were taken when he lost 60% vision in his right eye earlier this year. He was diagnosed with the condition three weeks after the birth of his daughter Pearl who is now two months old.

The 26-year old, who had previously filmed his own ITV series Adrenalin Junkie, said he had booked a stint on a US reality series, only for bosses to remove him after the diagnosis, something he said he considered “offensive”.

Speaking on US show The Talk, Jack said: “I had booked a job, right when I got diagnosed, and the company didn’t think I could actually perform the job.”

He continued: “Out of everything, that’s what has really ticked me off the most because it’s like, ‘Don’t tell me what I can and cannot do’. At no point did they call me. It was all through agents and lawyers — I was offended by it.”

Though Osbourne declined to name the show, The Sun reports that it was NBC’s Stars Earn Stripes, in which soldiers put celebs through real military exercises.

MS is an incurable neurological condition that damages the nerves and affects the transfer of messages around the body.

It can have a wide range of symptoms, including tiredness, temporary blindness, loss of co-ordination and speech difficulties.
