Black Veil Brides frontman Andy Biersack has suffered three shattered ribs after falling from a 15 foot high balcony during a gig in Hollywood, California on Saturday (June 18). You can see the incident in a fan shot video by scrolling down to the bottom of the page and clicking.
The band were performing in the Hollywood & Highland shopping mall where they’d earlier taken part in a signing session, when Biersack decided to climb up a balcony and look over the crowd.
When he tried to jump down to the stage he collided with a wall and fell to the ground. Despite the injury, the singer returned to the stage and finished the gig.
Tweeting after the gig from his account Twitter.com/andybvb, the singer wrote: “Thank you Hollywood for singing with me. Jumped from the balcony and shattered 3 ribs on my left side. I will keep everyone updated when I know more.”
The band, who released their second album ‘Set The World On Fire’ last Monday (June 13), have not indicated whether they will be cancelling any gigs as a result of Biersack‘s injury. They are next scheduled to perform at the Gexa Energy Pavillion in Dallas, Texas on Friday (June 24).
They tour the UK in November.
