Blink-182 announce split from Interscope Records

The pop-punk band are now officially an unsigned act

Blink-182 have parted ways with their label Interscope Records.

The punk pop trio broke the news earlier today (October 23), with guitarist and vocalist Tom DeLonge taking to Twitter to write:

The band are now officially unsigned. They were only signed to Interscope for the release of last year’s ‘Neighborhoods’, and were previously signed to Geffen in the US.

Earlier this month Mark Hoppus said that Blink-182 have begun writing their new record. The bassist told NME: “We’re starting to write the new record right now.”

Hoppus added: “We’re going to tour Australia in February with Blink… [so the] proper tour and the new album probably won’t happen for about a year.”

Blink-182’s new album will be a follow-up to their comeback album ‘Neighborhoods’. Drummer Travis Barker recently stated about the follow-up, “I feel like the best is yet to come, the next album is going to be exciting.”
