Band reschedule tour for June and July 2012
Blink-182 have postponed their entire UK and Ireland tour, which was due to take place this summer.
The band have posted a statement on their official website, Blink182.com, in which they say they have postponed the tour to complete work on their new album. The individual dates have all been rescheduled for next summer, although it is unclear whether the band will play T In The Park and Oxegen in 2012.
Details of the new dates are at the bottom of the page.
Blink-182‘s statement reads: “It is with heavy hearts that we have to announce our planned 2011 European summer tour has been rescheduled.
“When we booked the tour last year, we were confident that we would have the new album out before the summer. Turns out we were mistaken as the album is taking longer than we thought and won’t be out till later this year.”
It goes on: “We hoped we would have some new songs to play rather than do another ‘greatest hits tour’ which you all saw last summer. The three of us are working very hard to do what we set out to do when we re-formed, get a new Blink-182 album recorded.”
