Blink-182 planning summer new album release

Travis Barker says band are 'halfway through' new effort

Blink-182‘s Travis Barker has said that the band are planning to release their new album this summer.

The drummer said that the pop-punk trio are “halfway through” recording the new effort, which they have been working on in Los Angeles.

“It does feel exactly where it should be, where we left off with the self-titled [album in 2003],” He told Billboard. “They feel like they could be disc two of that album, so far.”

He added that the band were “a little more than halfway through” recording the album. Of the release plan he said: “I believe we’re planning on turning it in in July and out hopefully in the summer. I think a summer tour and summer album would be nice.”

The band are set to play a UK arena tour this summer.
