Frontman Tom Delonge has a bad back...
Stayaway nu-metallers Blink-182 have cancelled their recently rearranged European tour due to a back injury suffered by singer/frontman TOM DELONGE.
The tour was to have kicked off in the Swiss city of Zurich on January 4 before moving to London’s Wembley Arena on January 10 for the first of seven UK and Ireland dates. A statement just released by DeLonge blames a problem with a disc in his back.
“Recently, I consulted a specialist and he informed me that I need to be off my feet and seeking treatment,” he said. “My condition may require surgery and I will be re-evaluated in eight weeks. At that time, we’ll be able to make plans for the future.”
Blink-182 pulled the plug on original European tour dates – due for November – during the immediate aftermath of September 11. They were fearful of taking flights from the US.
