Taking to Twitter, DeLonge said “I am putting out four albums in one year – this year.” Details of each album remains unannounced.

DeLonge recently confirmed the release of ‘To The Stars’; an album of solo material old and new on April 21. ’New World’ is the first song to be taken from the album.

Earlier this year Barker and bandmate Mark Hoppus split from DeLonge after the singer allegedly refused to enter the studio and record a new album with them. Following a statement from Hoppus and Barker asserting DeLonge had quit the band “indefinitely”, DeLonge denied the story.

Travis Barker commented on Tom DeLonge’s departure, claiming he ‘doesn’t like punk music’ and that it ‘was a phase for him’.

DeLonge took to Twitter to state that he “will never dislike” Blink-182 bandmate Mark Hoppus as he spent “too many years as my closest friend”. He also added that he wants Hoppus “to be happy”. However, there was no mention of Barker.
