Former Blink-182 frontman Tom DeLonge offers olive branch to drummer Travis Barker

DeLonge quit the band in January 2015

Former Blink-182 co-frontman Tom DeLonge has publicly extended an olive branch to drummer Travis Barker.

DeLonge tweeted Barker today (June 28) requesting that the pair get together at a new water park in Garden Grove, located half way between their respective homes in San Diego and Los Angeles. “Let’s go to Great Wolf Lodge in OC and do water slides together and post it for fans..” wrote DeLonge. Barker responded positively tweeting, “Ha Ha, I’m in 100.”

Earlier this month, DeLonge took to Facebook to deny that he quit the band, although he remains adamant he is working with the government on UFO matters. He wrote: “Quitting the band to search for UFOs? Hahhaha WTF is wrong with you media.”

DeLonge added: “I’m actually talking to Travis [Barker, Blink 182 drummer] about us right now… Never did quit, remember?”

“But – Am I currently working with people in the Government? YES. Including leadership from DOD [Department Of Defence], Intelligence and Executive Branch? YES. Just wait for the documentary before considering ridiculous headlines. Haha… ?#?sekretmachines?”

DeLonge parted ways with Blink-182 in January 2015, and has since released Sekret Machines, a book that blends sci-fi elements with real life accounts of purported UFO sightings and alien abductions.

DeLonge recently said that UFOs are a “national security issue”. He told Mic: “Dealing with something that’s a national security issue, and you’re being gifted with the opportunity to communicate something you’ve been passionate about your whole life — something that has the opportunity to change the world over time — being a small part of that is enormously important for my life path.”

“But I can’t do everything. I can’t tour nine months out of the year with enough time to do the enormity of what I’m setting out to do.”
