Blink 182 join Radiohead, Linkin Park and Foo Fighters at one of Europe’s biggest festivals

Rock Werchter is looking pretty massive

Blink 182 have joined Radiohead, Linkin Park, Foo Fighters, Arcade Fire and System Of A Down at one of Europe’s biggest festivals – headlining Rock Werchter 2017.

As the pop-punk veterans continue their world tour for huge 2016 album ‘California‘, Mark, Matt and Travis will be calling at the legendary festival at Werchter in Belgium. They’ll be playing on Saturday 1 July.

The band are yet to announce any UK festival dates, but are set for a huge arena tour of headline shows in July. Drummer Travis Barker recently revealed how he intends to travel on the tour, after he developed a fear of flying following a serious plane crash.

“For me, there’s only one way to get there and that’s on a boat,” he said. “It’s like 10 days.”

He went on: “What works for me, I spend the time working out, I usually run an hour and a half a day ’cause our shows are about an hour and a half. I usually play drums 2-3 hours a day and then I usually bring a studio and I just work on production and music for other artists that I’m working with. Everyone on the boat is super supportive,” said the 40-year-old star. “I play with some of the bands on the Queen Mary 2. And even some of the workers have a band where they play covers and I just hang out with them and play drums with them.”
