Blink-182 are working on new music.
The band last released an album with 2016’s ‘California‘. It was their first to feature Matt Skiba on vocals and guitar after he replaced former member Tom DeLonge.
Now bassist Mark Hoppus and drummer Travis Barker have both shared photos from the studio on their Snapchat accounts, Rocksound reports. Hoppus’ was captioned: “New Blink-182 songs day one”.
At present, there is no release date for new material, or confirmation of what form it will take. However, in March 2017, Hoppus said the group were planning to start writing the next album later that year.
Meanwhile, the trio recently announced details of a massive Las Vegas residency set to run later this year. The pop-punk outfit will play 16 dates at the Pearl Theater at the Palms Casino Resort during May, June, October and November.
They are calling the stint their ‘Kings Of The Weekend’ tour and have joked about marrying fans onstage. “When the Palms asked us to do a residency here in Vegas, we said ‘Absolutely!’”, frontman and bassist Mark Hoppus said in a statement.
“Now, we just have to cast our showgirls, create our set list – a true throwback of Vegas classics with Sinatra, Liberace. Maybe we can even marry someone onstage… The possibilities in Vegas are endless.”
