Bloc Party are to return for a mammoth comeback tour of the UK to coincide with the release of their forthcoming second album.
The band will be showcasing tracks from new album ‘A Weekend In The City’, the follow up to 2005’s ‘Silent Alarm’, on a 20-date club trek kicking off at Southampton Guildhall on January 27.
“I’m looking forward to touring the UK again, because we’ve definitely got a lot better as a live band,” frontman Kele Okereke told NME.COM. “There’ll be some songs that we’ve been playing throughout this year, and then others that we’ll be debuting for the first time.”

Along with album, the band have also confirmed their comeback single will be ‘The Prayer’, which is released on January 29.
