Kele Okereke tells NME.COM about this weekend's plans
Bloc Party’s Kele Okereke is planning a big surprise for the Carling Weekend: Reading And Leeds Festivals crowds.
The band, who are playing on the Saturday (August 25) on the Reading site and Sunday (August 26) on the Leeds site, hope to spring a macabre shock on the crowds – possibly.
“At the end of our set we’re going to press a button to make the world explode,” joked Okereke when speaking to NME.COM. “It’s going to be an apocalyptic surprise. The last thing people will see are Bloc Party.”
Okereke also said he was looking forward to seeing one particular band.
He said: “We’re looking forward to seeing Biffy Clyro again because we’re fans.”
