The band send a message home...

BLOC PARTY have sent a message of sympathy to victims of the LONDON bomb attacks.

The art rockers, who were performing at the Accelerator Festival in Stockholm when the strikes took place on July 7, have posted a message on their official website expressing their regret.

The statement reads: “We were out of the country when all the terrible events unfolded in London on Thursday. We do hope all of you and your loved ones are safe and well. We’d like to send our deepest sympathies to the families of anyone who was hurt in the bombings.”


The band, who also performed at the Oxegen Festival and T In The Park over the weekend, are due to play a show at Somerset House in London tonight (July 12).

They are due to fly out to Germany for the Berlin Melt and Giessen Festival later this week before they play a series of dates in Australia and Japan.

Bloc Party will return to the UK for the Carling Weekend: Reading And Leeds Festivals on August 26-28 and play a clutch of gigs in the autumn.
