Bloc Party are set to head out to North America for their first major stateside trek in March, following their current stint on the SHOCKWAVES NME AWARDS TOUR 2005.
The band played a handful of shows in the US and Canada last year in support of their self-titled EP, which was released through indie imprint Dim Mak in October.
Following two New York shows later this month (February 20 and 22), the group will then return for a full-scale US tour, beginning with an appearance at the South by Southwest festival in Austin, Texas, which is due to take place between March 16-19.
Bloc Party will then join a host of acts including Erase Eratta, Dance Disaster Movement, The Kills and The Ponys across America as they support their debut album ’Silent Alarm’, due out on March 22 in the US on Vice Records.
