Bloc Party announce more ‘Silent Alarm’ UK shows for 2019

The band will continue to celebrate their 2005 debut record this summer

Bloc Party have announced a new string of ‘Silent Alarm’ gigs for 2019 following last year’s live celebration of their debut album.

The four-piece’s debut LP came out back in February 2005, and the band played special UK shows in London and Leeds back in October in honour of the record.

Bloc Party have today (January 22) announced that they will be taking ‘Silent Alarm’ around the UK this summer, with four shows announced so far. “We know how many of you were disappointed not to get tickets for Alexandra Palace, so this Summer we’re taking Silent Alarm around the UK,” a tweet from the band’s account reads.

Bloc Party will play:

29 – Brighton Centre

5 – Manchester Castlefield Bowl

9 – Glasgow Kelvingrove Park Bandstand

Tickets for the ‘Silent Alarm’ shows will go on sale this Friday (January 25), apart from the Bristol date – those tickets will go on sale on January 31.

Bloc Party frontman Kele Okereke premiered his new play Leave To Remain last week. The musician previewed the song ‘The Sea Between Us’ earlier this month, which features as part of the production’s score.
