BLONDIE look set to release a new album in the coming year, though exact release dates have not been set.

A spokesperson for the band told NME.COM that they had been in studio finishing off work on the follow-up to ‘No Exit’, last year’s album that saw their return after a 17-year hiatus.

The band’s drummer Clem Burke, in the UK this week to join MC5’s Wayne Kramer, The Damned’s Brian James and Primal Scream’s Mani for live appearances with the Mad For The Racket side project, told the British press that Blondie also planned to tour the album. However, he added that the tour would not be as excessive as before as they reached “saturation point” last time round.
