Blood Orange streams new album ‘Cupid Deluxe’ ahead of release – listen

The album goes on general release on November 18

Dev Hynes is currently streaming his second Blood Orange album, ‘Cupid Deluxe’.

Set for release on November 18 – but a week earlier on iTunes – the album follows his 2011 debut under the Blood Orange name, ‘Coastal Grooves’. The tracklist can be seen below and includes a number of guest appearances from the likes of David Longstreth (Dirty Projectors), Samantha Urbani (Friends), Clams Casino, Despot, Kindness and Skepta. Caroline Polachek from Chairlift appears on the single ‘Chamakay’. Listen to the album through YouTube by clicking above.

Speaking about the album, Hynes said it was inspired by “New York City, the Big Apple. I lived in Brooklyn for some time and finally made the leap into Manhattan. So a lot of the record is about that, transitions, life transitions. Moving from a stable position to an unstable position. Something we have all been through.”
