The two singers also performed live, all in the name of charity
Last night Dev Hynes posted a picture on Instagram of a rare tape that he and Nelly Furtado have released together called ‘Hadron Collider’.
The Blood Orange singer was selling it at the two charity shows he performed at Harlem’s Apollo Theatre in aid of the Opus 118 Harlem School of Music, a programme that offers kids and their families access to music education both in-school and after-school. Writing on Instagram, Hynes stated that the tape would only be available at those shows “for now”.
Nelly Furtado also joined Hynes to play ‘Hadron’ lives, as well as an acoustic version of her single ‘Say it Right’. Watch clips of their performances below.
The Canadian ‘I’m Like a Bird’ singer wasn’t the only one to join Hynes that night, as Beyonce‘s sister Solange Knowles sung with Hynes on a cover of Marvin Gaye’s ‘Inner City Blues (Make Me Wanna Holler)’, which you can also watch below.

In October Blood Orange revealed a new song, titled ‘Sandra’s Smile’, accompanied by a video shot in New York. Directed and edited by the artist himself, the clip features cameos from Junglepussy and Ian Isiah.
He also, earlier this year, shared a 45 minutes of unreleased music, originally intended for a film score that he had been working on before being fired from the project.
In the YouTube description, Hynes wrote, “I spent the last few months working on a film score, then I got fired. No hard feelings. Here’s some of the music. Listen and zone out if you want to.”
