Blur release line of officially branded flat caps and tea sets

Britpop band sell unusual items alongside T-shirts, mugs and bags on official website

Blur have revealed a range of new merchandise, including officially branded flat caps and tea sets.

The band, who recently pulled out of a headline performance at Big Day Out in 2014, are selling the merchandise alongside more traditional items such as T-shirts, tote bags and mugs via their website.

The classic wool blend herringbone pattern flat cap features a blue embroidered Blur logo and retails at £35. The headwear is described as being an “excellent five point fully lined flat cap.” Meanwhile, the tea set is the most expensive item in the shop at £69. Manufactured in the heart of The Potteries from fine bone china the set includes one tea pot plus two tea cups and saucers embellished with Blur’s Britannia and Blur logo back stamps.

This summer, Damon Albarn reportedly confirmed that Blur will record a new album following the release of his forthcoming solo LP.

Meanwhile, a 20-second teaser for Damon Albarn‘s forthcoming solo album was uploaded to the performer’s official YouTube channel last week.

Shot in black and white, the video shows Albarn, from behind, playing a keyboard topped with two skulls and a stuffed owl. Following shots of musical instruments and recording equipment, the text reads “Damon Albarn, first solo album, coming 2014”.
