Damon Albarn’s DRC Music Project announce album tracklisting

'Kinshasa One Two' is due out on November 7

Blur and Gorillaz‘ mainman Damon Albarn has confirmed the tracklisting for his new DRC Music Project‘s debut release.

The album, which is titled ‘Kinshasa One Two’ and has been given a release date of November 7, was recorded in the Democratic Republic Of Congo, after Albarn travelled to the country with a large group of musicians and others to record the album.

These included Kwes, Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs, Franz Ferdinand producer Dan The Automator, hip-hop producer Jneiro Jarel, XL Recordings boss Richard Russell, Actress, Marc Antoine and Jo Gunton.

The project has been put together in collaboration with Oxfam, who will receive all the proceeds from the album’s sales.

Prior to recording ‘Kinshasa One Two’, Albarn has just finished performing in Manchester with his opera Doctor Dee.
