Damon Albarn says he “hasn’t thought” about Blur since their 2009 reunion tour ended.
The frontman, who took to the road throughout the summer with the group, playing numerous sold-out shows and festivals, has said he has moved on from the experience.
“It was stadiums and everybody singing and very euphoric,” Albarn told The Observer Music Monthly. “Then after the last gig in Scotland I got on the train and left it all behind. That’s it, I haven’t thought about it since.”
He added: “I loved every second of it but then when it had finished it was like, we’ve all got to get on with our lives now.”
Albarn is currently working on the next Gorillaz album ‘Plastic Beach’, which is set to feature a number of collaborations, including The Horrors and ‘Watchman’ creator Alan Moore.
