Blur sign-up Klaxons and Florence And The Machine for Manchester

Reformed band announce bill for comeback gig

Blur have recruited Klaxons and Florence And The Machine for their comeback gig in Manchester.

The band will play the city’s MEN Arena on June 26, where they’ll be joined by the two acts.

Blur‘s manager Chris Morrison explained that each of the band’s shows – including two shows at Hyde Park on July 2 and 3, plus festival appearances at Glastonbury, T In The Park and Oxegen – will be a one-off in terms of the bill.

“Every show Blur play this summer is going to be unique and different, so we’re delighted Klaxons and Florence And The Machine have agreed to join us for the evening,” he said. “Blur are really looking forward to this gig – they’ve always had an amazing reception in Manchester.”

Reacting to the news Blur had picked her to play, Florence And The Machine‘s Florence Welch declared: “‘Woahhhh! I’m really excited about supporting Blur in Manchester. I can’t comprehend that it is happening to be honest!”
